Sewing : Vogue 9253

I’ve seen everyone on Instagram made this dress last year, I bought the pattern from Amazon, waited for almost a month.

I picked this yellow mustard linen fabric - which I kept for so long, waiting for the right project to come up. I made similar dress for my client before.


This Vogue pattern have very low neckline, which I love and hate at the same time. It’s too low for my taste, but I found a helpful Youtube video that helps me to fix it.



I self drafted the skirt part, but since it had an empire waist, the skirt end up too short, so I added another panel on the bottom of the skirt to fix it.





I should fix the front gaping the next time I made it. Overall it was a quick and easy make.

Sewing Summary :

Pattern: Vogue 9253 - Bust : M, Waist: S (empire cut waist).
Fabric: Linen fabric
Notions: Threads and zipper.
Alterations: Raise the neckline and fixing the gap (reminder for future dress)
Difficulty: Easy, the instruction is easy to follow and so quick to sew since it had a kimono sleeve style.
Make another one: Yes, in different length. Full length dress.
Notes: I didn't make a toile before cutting the real fabric.
