Party Animal - leopard print skirt

Have you ever made a skirt without waistband? Making a waistband is hard, until I learnt the easy way to do it (over the past few years). But during fashion school, we were taught the right way of making it - which is the COMPLICATED way, interfacing and hand sewn included. Until one day in design class. our lecturer said that it's totally fine to skip the waistband part. What a lifesaver! I made a lot of it since then.
I bought the japanese cotton - leopard print fabric earlier this year, with only 2 meters of this fabric, I made something simple for a stunning prints. I self-drafted the pattern with only 2 pattern pieces - front & back, since I prefer to sew the zipper on the side, rather than at the back of the skirt.

Fully lined in black and I just realized that I didn't any brown colored zipper on my stash, so I used orange colored zipper instead.
I always feel like only women / hot mom in their 30s can pull off this look (silly, i know.), so I waited until now to finally make one for me. Is it me or anyone else feels the same?
